Ed Morrison, Co-founder of I-Open, has worked for over 20 years conducting strategy projects with economic developers across the U.S. Ed will explore how Open Source Economic Development represents the next stage in the transformation in the professional practice of economic development. June Holley is the President and Founder of the Appalachian Center for Economic Networks (ACEnet), a regional entrepreneurship organization in southeastern Ohio. She has pioneered the implementation of many innovative entrepreneurship strategies including business networks. June will explain how organizations in a region can work together to develop a set of innovation services that will expand the number of businesses in their region, increase their competitiveness, and improve the quality of jobs. Valdis Krebs Founder of orgnet.com, is a management consultant and the developer of InFlow, software for social network analysis. InFlow software maps and measures knowledge exchange, information flow, emergent communities, networks of alliances and other networks within and between groups. Valdis will explain why networks are so important and will describe the role of the network weaver, with many examples from economies around the country where network weavers have been successful in enhancing their local economy Jack Ricchiuto is a principal with Smart Meeting Design. He works with leaders, teams, organizations, and communities who seek to understand and use their strengths in new ways to achieve what matters most to them. His work occurs in venues related to productivity, relationship and community building, and innovation. Jack will introduce the principles of Appreciative Leadership, community visioning and give people a chance to work together on practical implications within the context of their learning in the program.
