C. Hoven in Plain Press: Residents weigh in on proposed regulations for restaurants, bars and entertainment venuesSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 10/26/2011 - 12:14.
Here is a link to the Plain Press which reports on continuing discussion regarding music/venues/BOZA in Cleveland, Ohio brought to my attention by a Realneo reader. I have two comments: 1. The legislation is about allowing bars/ businesses to obtain more income. 2. Don't trust anything Mr. Cimperman says, he is unreliable in his forthrightness and may actually be saying just the opposite of what he sounds like he is saying. Weird thing about politicians.... Statements from Henry Senyak and others can be found at Keep Cleveland Rockin concerning a recent meeting discussing the legislation. Mr. Senyak's statement is copied below:

Subj: Re: Entertainment Legislation discussion proposal 347.11 Hello All:
Of the 30 plus of you that were in attendance speaking on behalf of your block clubs or for yourselves, I am going to request affidavits of what you heard Joe Cimperman testify too. .
Fact one: Joe Cimperman testified on April 1st at the Planning Commission that he was not in favor of any outdoor music on any patio period..
Secondly Linda Barley was the proponent of asking for the amendment for additional fees charged to businesses to create a new nighttime inspector position. You will recall that this amendment did not get approved as part of the April 15th overall proposal by the Planning Commission.
I am not planning on getting slandered anymore. I did audio tape the April 15th planning Commission. I am sorry I did not audiotape the April 1st meeting. I guess if we have to we can depose Director Brown, and the entire Planning Commission.
Take care.
Henry P. Senyak
