Egyptian army soldiers arrest a female protester

A kick is aimed at a woman who was beaten by helmet-wearing security personnel near Tahrir Square on Saturday - The footage, which has been widely broadcast online, shows troops beating the woman with clubs and aiming kicks at her limp body before dragging her along the ground. One man is seen stamping on her chest. Twitter users reacted strongly to the attack on the veiled woman, with Alex Finch calling it "disgusting" and Nabila Zahir describing it as "shocking and disturbing."
