War in Syria, could lead to WWIII, call your Senator!Submitted by Oldroser on Tue, 09/03/2013 - 00:27.
Syrian Al-Quaeda-linked rebels are the ones who set off the chemical attack, not Assad. The UK TELEGRAPH reports, in great detail. A hacker got access to U.S. intelligence correspondence and published U.S. Army Col. ANTHONY J. MACDONALD’s mail. Macdonald is General Staff Director, Operations and Plans Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence the Army Staff. It’s about an upcoming chemical attack in Syria. my.telegraph.co.uk/debatableopinion/debatableopinion/16/u-s-intelligence-agencies-involved-in-chemical-attack-in-syria/ Even the Syrian rebels say that the Al Quaeda faction among the rebels are responsible. The chemicals were provided by Saudi Arabia. www.mintpressnews.com/witnesses-of-gas-attack-say-saudis-supplied-rebels-with-chemical-weapons/168135/ Saudi Arabia not only met with Russia, who supports Assad, and offered them a bribe not to continue to support Assad, but also threatened that Chechen terrorists, whom they said they control, might attack the upcoming Olympic Games. www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/energy/oilandgas/10266957/Saudis-offer-Russia-secret-oil-deal-if-it-drops-Syria.html Maybe that is why Russia has said it will attack Saudi Arabia if Syria is struck. www.eutimes.net/2013/08/putin-orders-massive-strike-against-saudi-arabia-if-west-attacks-syria/ I have not heard a word about that from CNN. The Arab League met and condemned Assad but said the response should be political, not military. They live there, don’t they know best? Yes, Asaad is a dictator, his father did horrible things in the past. But our intervention would only make things worse. Iraq is now free of Saddam Hussein, but things are worse there, not better. Many lives were lost on both sides, but the military-industrial complex, which former President and General Eisenhower warned us against, made a lot of money. The President is now meeting with prominent Republican hawks McCain (who thinks torture is fine) and Graham to get them to influence fellow senators. These men only want intervention if it removes Assad.www.mccain.senate.gov/public/index.cfm Martin Luther King said we did not need to be policeman to the world. That part of his message is being ignored by many. Don’t they realize that Russian and China are on Assad’s side? A strike could bring them into the conflict and spark a much wider war. Will our Congress listen to our many military men and women who are speaking out against it? www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/us-military-officers-have-deep-doubts-about-impact-wisdom-of-a-us-strike-on-syria/2013/08/29/825dd5d4-10ee-11e3-b4cb-fd7ce041d814_story.html They say they are stretched thin, tired, and broke. www.businessinsider.com/soldier-on-syrian-intervention-we-are-stretched-thin-tired-and-broke-2013-9 They say the line between moderate rebel factions and al Qaeda-affiliated ones are somewhat murky (to say the least) in the two-year-old civil war, so the U.S. should stay away from intervening on the rebel side. (Let’s not arm Al Quaeda, as we did in Libya!) And people, apparently soldiers, are posting on Facebook www.businessinsider.com/troops-protest-syria-military-strike-2013-9 www.politico.com/politico44/2013/08/white-house-peeved-at-pentagon-leaks-171520.html The U.S. Administration has said it did not need Congressional authorization, it has decided that it does not need United Nations or NATO approval for a strike, Kevin Baron of Defense One reports. www.businessinsider.com/why-the-us-is-attacking-syria-2013-8#ixzz2dS0FWDbs Instead, it will attempt rely on backing from a "coalition of the willing" that includes the Arab League and Turkey as well as France, the UK, and Germany. But the Arab League is not in favor of military strikes, calling for a political response, instead. And Britain’s House of Commons voted against, Germany is not getting involved. It is a LOCAL civil war we have no business getting involved in. The International Crisis Group, a well-respected organization, released a statement on Sunday that limited strikes were "largely divorced from the interests of the Syrian people" while calling for a larger political and diplomatic solution. www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/09/02/obamas-proposed-syria-strikes-largely-divorced-from-the-interests-of-the-syrian-people/ I only watched CNN for a few hours, I did not hear a word about the various sources pointing to Saudi-supplied Al Quaeda rebels launching the chemical attack, not the Syrian government. A U.S. false flag attack, in other words. A few speakers mentioned skepticism caused by the false pretext used for the war in Iraq. There was little mention that Russian, and China, could become involved and the war could rapidly spread throughout the Middle East, potentially launching WWWIII. I heard Senator John McLain saying there must be no boots on the ground. But US forces, along with Jordanian ones, are already said to be massing along the Syria border. voiceofrussia.com/news/2013_08_28/US-forces-reported-mobilized-along-Jordan-Syria-border-0266/ A lengthy article, mentioning some of the articles I referenced here www.washingtonsblog.com/, has a line, one among many, that I particularly like: I would have thought that bombing countries in the name of “democracy” against the will of an overwhelming majority at home was costing our government what little credibility it might have had. That article says that head of the Libyan rebels admitted that the rebels were largely Al Qaeda. CNN, the Telegraph, the Washington Times, and many other mainstream sources confirm that Al Qaeda terrorists from Libya have since flooded into Syria to fight the Assad regime … bringing their arms with them. And the post-Gaddafi Libyan government is also itself a top funder and arms supplier of the Syrian opposition. (CNN notes that the CIA may have had a hand in this operation.) So why on earth has our government funded in Libya the very group that attacked the Twin Towers, its related Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, whose overthrow our government is so unhappy about, and is now insisting on launching a military attack on Syria that could spiral out of control into a much wider war? And 9-11 launched the Patriot Act, Homeland Security and TSA, which has not kept us safe, but has curtailed our Constitutional rights. Many have drawn parallels to Hitler and his Brownshirts. Well, I hope this theory is not true, but unfortunately, with the widespread disregard of our Constitution, perhaps we ought to look at this report from Los Vegas. a source that years ago we might have distrusted, now it seems more credible than our lapdog media. voiceofrussia.com/news/2013_07_30/Dicovery-of-unmarked-military-base-in-Las-Vegas-sparks-concerns-over-martial-law-coming-to-America-5055/ and this report voiceofrussia.com/2013_07_30/US-government-establishes-death-camps-for-American-citizens-FBI-retiree-5607/
