Ward 14 residents lost recently....Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Sat, 12/08/2012 - 16:42.
Ward 14 has recently lost several residents to premature passings. First we lost Terrence Abel, aka Terry Able a lifelong resident of Meyer Avenue. His family remains there despite the transitions and changes in our community. I remember him from childhood. He had curly blonde hair and was a skinny kid... I recall him being shy or quiet in nature. Any which way he grew up, we all grew up in the hood together and it is tragic to hear about his loss. When I went to jail the other day, I ran into one of the other kids we all grew up with near West 34th & Meyers, Daniel Sloan. I didn't get a chance to talk to him, but the thought crossed my mind whether or not he was aware of what had happened. The story hit the news and was tragic. I truly have been praying for his mother and family. http://fox8.com/2012/12/02/mother-of-standoff-suspect-speaks-out/ Second, Pete, a Barber from Fulton who also was the cross guard at Clark and Fulton passed away unexpectedly. I was notified of this too late today. He had the building at Fulton and Robert if I am not mistaken. http://realneo.us/content/commercial-vacancies-throughout-cleveland-how-do-we-inspire-filling-them-business-investors (This link shows photo.) Pete Ciarallo was laid to rest at Holy Cross today. http://obits.cleveland.com/obituaries/cleveland/obituary.aspx?pid=161514233 Our condolences go out to his family and friends and to the community at large. He was only 49 years old. May his family know that we send our regards and thoughts and prayers their way.
