Here's a note just received from Marlon Solano..which we offered to post for the REALNEO community to build connectivity and new opportunities for art in NEO. I've suggested they link to NEO online communities and other communities such as SmallerIndiana.com to leverage resources and capabilities focused around mutual interests...

This is Marlon Barrios Solano from dance-tech.net
I am an independent dance/new media artist and on-line publisher based in NYC.
I want to introduce you to this project.
 I created dance-tech.net  8 months ago and it has grown to more than 250 international members and a broad  base of visitors from performance and new media communities.

It is a social network that aggregates and facilitates the flow of information and the distributed intelligence among movement, new media artist and theorists working in the confluence of embodied performance practices and new media.

dance-tech / chunky move

I've been keeping an eye on dance-tech.net for a few months now, since becoming interested in using our wireless movement disorder sensors at CleveMed in dance performance -- after we measured motion and EMG from CIM musicians at Ingenuity last year.

I liked what Chunky Move was doing enough to write half a blog entry about them in February and not publish it. Actually, I liked them a lot more than that, but I'm not a very good blogger.
