Sustainable Universities and Hospitals--HELP!
CWRU, University Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, CSU, Metrohealth et al. need to find a way to generate electricity (and dispose of hazardous waste materials) that does not endanger the surrounding community.
It has always been a great irony that hospitals are listed on the EPA's Toxic Release Inventory. Hospitals generate radioactive waste, body tissue waste, biohazards galore.
Can anyone, anywhere offer up a better physical plant model for a hospital and a university??

Can anyone, anywhere offer up a better physical plant model
Yes - based on intelligent systems of biomass supply chains
But it takes intelligent leadership to embrace intelligent solutions... and I'm still looking for that intelligent leadership in the region.
I WILL EXPECT ALL CANDIDATES FOR ALL OFFICES IN NORTHEAST OHIO TO PROVIDE THEIR POSITIONS ON THIS POWERPLANT AND I WILL FIGHT ANY CANDIDATES WHO SUPPORT BURNING COAL IN OUR URBAN CORE - SO READ-UP ON COAL... I SUGGEST LOOKING ON REALNEO

The Place Not To Look For Help is the Mainstream Media
The Place Not To Look For Help is the Mainstream Media - they are sell-outs and have caused this crisis.
Go ahead - look mainstream for answers about coal and pollution in Northeast Ohio - hell, look alternative media and propaganda media too - look Facebook - NOTHING.
Complete sell-out by all media to industry here.

I haven't received even a return phone call from Channel 5 or Ed Gallek. Apparently Ed's " enterprising professionalism and uncanny ability to break big stories" doesn't extend to certain factions of our town. And obviously his religious beliefs did not find Sammy's disgusting rant offensive for a neighborhood development figure.

CWRU and CSU are no where to be found- Oberlin came in 31.
Energy Star Ratings
Don't know what to make of this, but I will keep checking....NEO institutions need to at least make an EFFORT to get listed--afterall, CWRU is supposed to be a center for innovation--sheesh.
