One of my kids' favorite videos these days is an animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss' 1984 The Butter Battle Book - we're watching it now (in legal VHS, no less).Part 3 of 3 found on YouTube here - description:
The Butter Battle Book is an animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss' 1984 book of the same name. Produced in 1989 by Ralph Bakshi, the film was called by Seuss as the most faithful adaptation of his work.
The book was written in the midst of the Cold War and reflects the concerns of the time, exploring such themes as the ideological divide, the arms race, nuclear weapons and mutually assured destruction (MAD).
When I saw this video--I immediately thought of a young boy I know who educators want to classify as too energetic, hyper, ADHD...I saw him today...happy, smart, lovable...I only hope his mother can keep him from the folks who want to medicate him. He is one of the most amazingly artistic children I have ever met in my life with musical and physical talents beyond comprehension. We need to nuture these kids.
Going viral
Why viral works---8,251,552 views and counting....How much talent do we throw away?...everyday...
