The best part of the day was enjoying the great music (thanks Gary Nelson) and FOOD prepared by those amazing women, Debra, Debbie and Lily, at Zion UCC in support of Frank Giglio and other residents throughout NEO, unfairly targeted by out-of-control non-profits and politicians in suspicious collusion with developers.
Afterwards, I stopped by Immanuel Lutheran and kicked myself to realize that the BCCA sale occured yesterday. I heard through the grapevine, that it also went well. Support our neighbors!
At Immanuel Lutheran, I was pleasantly surprised to see young and old folks streaming out of the church after a Sunday concert and also pleased to hear German chatter...it's so nice to be surrounded by variety and culture. We do have it gut in the City.
Can't be everywhere
I caught a bit of the rally for bike lanes on the Innerbelt Bridge and it was well-attended. I wish the cyclists would focus more on turning underused-existing infrastructure into bike-friendly corridors, but seeing a critical mass of bicycle people is always a good thing!
